General Information About the Therapists:


Dr. Susan Armstrong, Ph.D., L.M.H.C.

Dr. Susan Armstrong, Ph.D., L.M.H.C., has over 32 years of experience working in private practice, schools, day care centers, community mental health clinics, and hospitals.  She is a licensed Mental Health Counselor and Psychotherapist.  She has been in her own private practice in Gainesville for over 27 years.  She has served as an Adjunct Professor at Sante Fe College and Nova University. Dr. Armstrong  leads the group on Food, Mood and Move as well as the group on Identity and Life Transition Issues.  Dr. Armstrong's upcoming groups will work with outpatient Alcohol and Addiction Issues.  She has experience working with both men and women in relationship transitions, divorce recovery, grief and loss issues, identity and growth issues, as well as family of origin healing, and parenting skills.  Dr. Armstrong works with children from kindergarten through college and addresses parenting issues as well as balancing family harmony.
